Transense Technologies plc ('Transense') is pleased to announce that it has
signed a technical collaboration agreement with Texas Instruments Inc ('TI'),
the world leader in Digital Signal Processors ('DSP'), and a supplemental
production agreement with Melexis.

Transense engineers have been working with TI for over three years to perfect
the merging of Transense's algorithms into TI's DSP, which can be used for both
tyre pressure monitoring ('TPMS') and torque applications.

These algorithms provide the interface which converts and formats the
information gathered by Transense's Application Specific Integrated Circuit ('
ASIC'). They support the integration of Transense's technology with that of its
licensees' and their respective customers' systems.

In addition to the agreement with TI, Transense has also agreed a supplement to
its agreement with Melexis to commence volume production of the Transense ASIC.

Commenting on the developments, Jim Perry, Chief Executive of Transense, said:

'We believe that today's developments represent a further significant step
towards the commercialisation of our technology. Both TI and Melexis are
reputable suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide and the combination of
their respective expertise has gone a long way towards putting our technology on
the map. The decision by TI to collaborate with Transense confirms our belief
that we have the best technology in the world for TPMS and automotive torque

Jean-Claude Soroka, General Manager for the C2000 DSP at Texas Instruments DSP
Controllers commented:

'We are delighted to be working with Transense to put the exciting solution of
surface acoustic wave ('SAW') sensor technology to the automotive market. The
past three years of intense technical exchanges between Transense and our DSP
experts have been an enjoyable innovation experience. We foresee a great and
fruitful future in the long-term collaboration with Transense.

'There is no doubt that both the pressure and torque sensor markets are huge
opportunities. We are very confident that our joint efforts will bring SAW
sensor innovation to the next level and we are looking forward to Transense's
patented technology being deployed worldwide.'
